A Wingspan Creative Venture
I'm Maggie Standley – muralist and arts educator, professional painter, licensed French teacher, long time youth advocate and sometimes street dog wrangler. Based between Burlington, Vermont and Yucatán, Mexico, I founded Wingspan Studio & School in 2003 and I've spent years helping others, of all ages, discover their creative voices through art and language. This online shop is where I share my own artwork.

Art lives with you: on your walls, in your hands, wherever beauty enhances the moment. My work draws inspiration from the landscapes I inhabit and have inhabited – Lake Champlain views, tropical Caribbean/Gulf Coast light, Paris, Cameroon – and also from deeper emotional currents of the stuff of life: struggle, rebirth, the messy beauty of transformation. Wingspan is a multi-faceted working fine art studio, boutique school specializing in the arts and French language/culture, as well as a community development organization.
Founded my Maggie Standley, fine artist, educator and community activist, Wingspan is the anchor for community mural projects, youth empowerment programs, school vacation camps and fine art.
