“Santa's Vacation" – Painted plein air in the small village of San Antonio, Belize, where I was the only guest at a tiny hotel. This cheerful plastic Santa, strung with lights and surrounded by tropical plants and a couple hangers, kept watch over the balcony. Christmas day I painted with the family’s children and they even invited me to a Mayan wedding in the tropical forest that we walked to! Sometimes the best moments are the ones you stumble upon!
