Join Madame Maggie for a one-day French immersion experience in Québec’s Eastern Townships! We’ll visit the Abbaye de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac for cheese tasting, enjoy scenic stops at Mont-Orford, and have a lakeside lunch in North Hatley, all while practicing French in a small, guided group. Limited to 12 participants for a personalized, cultural experience. The program fee is $125 per person; participants cover their own meals, snacks, and purchases.  We will meet at Wingspan and carpool together across the border! Passports sont necessaires!

This class is for those with no previous French learning experience who would like a supportive and fun introductory class. Work from the same great textbook with somatic language learning, pronunciation and cultural tips. Each class comprises songs, grammar, and the start of speaking practice. A fantastique class for those continuing their French learning who are familiar with the basics of this beautiful, and oui, challenging language! Perhaps you have taken Beginner French with Madame Maggie or are restarting after a break and would like an encouraging reboot! Students delve into question asking and providing simple responses, studying the regular verbs in addition to adding to their irregular verb repertoire and continue to develop pronunciation skills, while working on short daily spoken exchanges in day to day life.  Join us to continue!

You have a strong grasp of the basic structure of the French language and several irregular verbs and regular verbs in the present tense. This is a good match for you if you are comfortable with greetings and can get by in some basic scenarios with a certain degree of "franglais," and are wanting to continue learning. Learners dive into some particularities of grammar, develop speaking and comprehension skills, add to their verb "bank," and dip their toes into other tenses.  Vas-y!

Sign up for Intermediate French if you have exposure to a variety of verb tenses, can hold your own in simple conversations and are ready to spread your French language speaking and grammar wings! Depending on class composition, we may go toward more conversation if desired, while reviewing grammar as it arises or continue with structured grammar, conversational, comprehension learning. Formidable!
